It is our desire to meet your orthodontic needs thoroughly and efficiently. We know that your time is valuable, and we will make every effort to minimize the number of appointments needed for treatment. Your initial appointment will consist of a thorough examination, preliminary diagnostic records if indicated and a discussion of potential treatment options. This important 60-minute visit will give us insight into your orthodontic needs.
During the initial examination for each patient, we will address the following questions that cover the basics of orthodontic treatment. We encourage you to ask questions as well.

  1. Are braces necessary?
  2. If they are necessary, when is the best time to begin?
  3. What treatment procedures will be used to correct the problem?
  4. Do any permanent teeth need to be removed?
  5. Can the problem be treated by lingual Orthodontics or Invisalign®?
  6. How long will treatment take?
  7. How much will it cost?
  8. What are my payment options?
  9. What is the next step?

While we can often answer these general questions about treatment during the initial examination, we will need to carefully analyze your full Orthodontic diagnostic records to finalize your treatment plan. We feel it is important to analyze each patient's specific needs, because in-depth planning leads to superior results and higher patient satisfaction.

We know your time is valuable, so to expedite treatment, we may also reserve time following the exam for full diagnostic records. The records include two or three X-rays, photos and impressions for study models and are necessary for developing the appropriate treatment plan. This additional appointment will last approximately one hour. Please let us know if you would like to schedule the time for your full diagnostic records at your initial visit.

We insist that our patients leave the office with a clear understanding of their specific needs, what the treatment will consist of and how long it will take. Also, we will answer any additional questions.

Each of us will do our best to make sure you are seen on time, to be complete and thorough in every way and to be absolutely fair and flexible in our financial arrangements.
