Dr. Shiva Shadmand earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree in 1991. She then carried on her studies to a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in the field of bone growth and development from the University of Toronto.

Her love of Orthodontics brought her back to school to pursue a three year specialty Master of Science (M.Sc.) program in Orthodontics at the University of Toronto. She is a recipient of Thomas Graber award from the American Association of Orthodontists for her Master’s thesis.

Dr. Shadmand is a Fellow of the Royal College of Dentists of Canada and a Certified Dental Specialist in Orthodontics with the Royal College of Dental Surgeons of Ontario .

Dr. Shadmand is committed to the pursuit of excellence in orthodontics. She continues to stay current and increase her knowledge by pursuing continuing education. She is also an active member of various dental associations such as the Canadian Association of Orthodontists, American Association of Orthodontists, Ontario Association of Orthodontists, and Ontario Dental Association.

Dr. Shadmand is dedicated to bringing latest technologies into her practice and to offering a wide range of options to treat her patients. She provides aesthetic Orthodontic appliances such as Lingual braces (braces from behind the teeth-invisible), Ceramic braces and Invisalign orthodontic treatment (an invisible alternative means of treatment). She is a member of The World Society of Lingual Orthodontics.

Dr. Shadmand is married to her wonderful husband Bahram, and is the proud mom of twin boys. When she is not straightening teeth she spends time with her family and friends. She enjoys the outdoors, reading, skiing, riding her bike and traveling. She also volunteers with community projects.
